Diamonds are a girl's best friend

In the '50s, Marilyn Monroe sang a song that made history: "Diamonds are a girl's best friend".

For a long time I did not understand why is it given so much importance to these "stones". But when my fingers touched them, I understood why you can not separate from them.

Each diamond has a story. But only those who manage to convey the story, are "unforgettable". I did not think that a diamond can impress by its brilliance so much as to make you want to get it forever, but something is possible when it "comforts" your skin and "plays smiles" on your fingers . One thing is certain, diamonds are fabulous, and the best part is that they never devalue, that if we want to think about the financial side, not just their beauty. Very important is to know how to choose a stone so valuable, how to recognize a fake, but also how important the cut is.

The four characteristics of the diamond

When you buy a diamond you must consider the 4 basic characteristics (the 4 C's of  a diamond) the cut quality, carat, clarity and color. The cut is the only human intervention on the value of the stone. An ideal cut returns the light to the viewer through the following process: light enters the diamond through the plate and crown, reaches the pavilion, which is reflected from one facet to another and then goes completely through the set. The phenomenon of the light coming back affects the brightness, the brightness and dispersion of the diamond. An existence of faulty symmetries or eccentric cuts may affect the quality of the light that comes back.
Here are some examples of diamonds:
